About the Home page

The Home page displays summary information about all services associated with your account. Think of it as a dashboard where you can get quick insights and basic information about your services along with account metrics, security insights, and plan usage information. You can access it at any time by clicking Home in the navigation sidebar.

Before you begin

Be sure you know how to access the web interface controls before learning about each of the pages you'll encounter there.

About the Home page

The Home page is organized into cards, each summarizing a different aspect of your account. The content cards you see vary based on the products and services associated with your account. For example, accounts with only Network Services products will see different cards than accounts with Security products like DDoS Protection or the Fastly Next-Gen WAF.

Notifications may also appear throughout the page, at the top or inline within cards, as relevant to your account state or configuration. For example, if you've not yet created a service for your account, you may see a notification containing a quick link to start you through that process.

About the Account metrics card

The Account metrics card displays a summary of month-to-date observability metrics for services associated with your account, including:

  • Requests: the total number of requests Fastly received for your services.
  • Errors: the total number of error responses.
  • Bandwidth: the total bandwidth served from Fastly's network.
  • Hit ratio: the percentage of content being served from cache.
  • Error ratio: the percentage of requests that resulted in errors.
  • vCPU Usage: the average amount of CPU time used to process a request.

Click Observability dashboard to access the Observability account summary page for additional stats details across all your services.

About the Next-Gen WAF metrics card

The Next-Gen WAF metrics card displays a 30-day summary of Next-Gen WAF activity for your account, including:

  • Request volume: the total number of requests evaluated by the WAF.
  • Blocked requests: the number of requests the WAF blocked.

Click Next-Gen WAF dashboard to access additional details.

About the DDoS Protection metrics card

The DDoS Protection metrics card displays a 30-day summary of DDoS-related traffic for your account, including:

  • All requests: the total number of requests received.
  • Allowed requests: the number of requests permitted through.
  • DDoS attack requests: the number of requests identified as DDoS attack traffic.
  • DDoS attack requests mitigated: the number of attack requests that were mitigated.

Click DDoS Protection dashboard to access additional details.

About the TLS Certificate Status card

The TLS Certificate Status card displays the current state of TLS certificates associated with your account, organized by certificate type. For Fastly-managed certificates, it shows counts by status: valid, pending, renewing, and failed. For self-managed certificates, it shows counts for valid, expiring, and expired certificates.

Click TLS Certifications to access the TLS Certificate dashboard.

About the Plan usage card

The Plan usage card displays the month-to-date requests, bandwidth, and compute duration upon which your account's billing is based.

Click Plan usage to access the Plan usage page to view your account usage metrics broken down by product and region over key, monthly timeframes.

About the Services card

The Services card displays the services associated with your account. Each service listed includes the service type (CDN or Compute), the current requests per second, the most recently activated version, and a link to edit the service configuration directly.

Use the search field to find a specific service, or use the sort menu to change the order services are displayed. The default sort order is alphanumeric by service name. You can also filter the list by type using the All, CDN, and Compute tabs.

Click Compute or CDN to the right of the card title to go to the Compute or CDN services pages, where you can view all services of that type and access the main controls for editing their configuration. Or, click the pencil Pencil icon to the right of the service name to go directly to its editing controls.

About the Workspaces card

The Workspaces card displays the Next-Gen WAF workspaces associated with your account. Each workspace listed includes the current requests per second and the number of services linked to it. Use the search field to find a specific workspace, or use the sort menu to change the display order.

Click Next-Gen WAF to the right of the card title to go to the Next-Gen WAF section. Or, click the pencil Pencil icon to the right of a workspace name to go directly to that workspace's configuration.

About the Quick create card

The Quick create card provides linked shortcuts for creating new resources directly from the Home page. The options available reflect the products and services associated with your account and may include creating a CDN service, a Next-Gen WAF workspace, a Compute service, or an Observability dashboard.
